Character Information
Character Journal:
Character Name: Acid Storm
Character Canon: Transformers G1
Age: Not 100 sure because canon never made it clear, but he's quite young compared to most Decepticons and Autobots. He's roughly a couple thousand years old, which would make him like, a 20 year old or so, in human years?
Race: Cybertronian Seeker
Timeline Pull Point: You know those millions of years when the Nemesis was crashed on Earth and almost nothing happened on Cybertron? Yep, that's the timeline I'm using.
Canon History:
Because his wiki page has like ZERO info on his background, aside from "He's there, deal with it.", here's some more expensive background I made (which hopefully isn't too crazy?)
Acid Storm was built in the very heart of Cybertronian war times. Much to the likes of the Stunticons and Aerialbots, him and his trinemates - Stormfront and Novastorm - were build out of necessity. The Decepticons already had an edge in battle by having flying bots: the infamous Seekers, but Acid and the others were going to be a step forward on that.
Sure flight supremacy was nice, but how to exploit that advantage better? And then the Rainmaker project was born. The idea was pretty simple: to ally a Seeker’s natural battle prowess to the recently developed technology of corrosive weaponry.
Not only that, they were aiming pretty high when they developed Acid’s entire personality and skills. He was meant to be not only a formidable fighter, but also a wonderful speaker of sorts. What a perfection combination: to strike fear in the heart of your enemies while preaching about the superiority of Decepticons. And being actually heard and followed. And at the head of research for making these Seekers was Shockwave, who was pretty damn proud of what he was creating.
Although, something went very array. The development of the Rainmakers - Acid's division - was rushed due to Megatron's impatience. He wanted the Rainmakers ready and he wanted them NOW. Even when Shockwave protested against it, he could only go against Megatron's orders so far...
They were more or less quickly put together and sent to Vector Sigma for sparks, and when they came to life, they seemed to be in working order. That is, until the first technical test run. Due to the rushing on the project, there was no time to test the corrosive weapons proper, and just how desctructive they were. And they were far more damaging than everyone expected.
The test run resulted in many casualties and even the damaging of the Rainmakers themselves, who were almost sent to the smelter right away, wasn't for Shockwave being to proud to give up on something he spent so much time building.
He fixed the Rainmakers as much as he could and tinkered with them until he was satisfied with the result, and decided to keep them as his personal Seeker trine. Since then Acid Storm has stayed in Cybertron, answering to Shockwave's direct orders, and being a loyal subject to the Decepticon cause. Sadly, those days of glory never came for him, but he doesn't mind.
Personality:
For Seeker - and Decepticon - standards, he’s very mild and polite. Even if you are an Autobot, if you are not MEDDLING ON DECEPTICON AFFAIRS or not testing his patience, he’s going to leave you be. With that said, he's very loyal to the Decepticons, almost blindly, so saying bad things about them in his presence is ill advised.
He enjoys socializing, but may end up getting flustered if the person he’s interacting with show themselves to be too intimidating or too forward. As much as he likes talking to others, being busy with the war didn’t do much good to his conversational skills.
Acid Storm is full of empathy towards others, and is also very compassionate because Vector Sigma actually messed up when giving him a spark “fit for a leader”. VS pretty much went “OK, what makes a good leader? Oh, I know!” /cue tons of compassion and kindness/ That doesn't mean he's going to be all nicey nicey to everyone he comes across.
He's very reserved when it comes to personal information or anything like that, so prying him for things he considers to be very "private" for him is bound to make him mad.
Because he's still so young, he’s VERY curious about things he doesn’t know and will get inquisitive if he gets interested on what you are doing or saying. He has a kind of childlike curiosity about things. Specially new things he never saw before or science-related things.
Keep in mind that despite being somewhat nice, Acid has a very vicious side. He's a Seeker after all, and you really don't want to trigger his bad side, because, least we forget he has CORROSIVE WEAPONRY. You don't want to poss off a guy who can throw acid at your face.
Powers/Abilities:
=Is capable of creating acid rain, but is only able to do so when with his trinemates (aka this ability is useless if he's own his own)
=His arm cannons are capable of shooting both energy blasts and corrosive rounds (the corrosive ammo is way more limited though and he'll only use it in extreme cases)
=Has a way sturdier and heavier frame than the regular Seeker due to the nature of his "job". Obviously his armor is capable of withstanding acid, but even that has a limit.
=His vocalizer is fit to have a very soft and influential voice that can be used to convince others to do what he wants or to make them think a certain way. Acid has to focus for his voice to get to the right range for that to work, and it also only works on bots (and people?) with less developed minds. Say, if he tries to do that with Soundwave, nothing will come out of it.
Inventory: Doesn't really have anything on him but a few datapads on his subspace, both blank and filled with random scientific info.
Writing Samples
First Person Sample:
[Acid Storm fiddled with the small device for a while, trying to see just how it worked and all the functionalities it offered. He wanted to be ready for anything whenever he needed to use that thing. When he was finally done, he decided to send a broadcast to reach everyone.]
Anh, hello? I'm not sure if anyone can hear me but... I seem to be in a strange part of Cybertron I never saw before. I don't quite remember seeing any records of this area on the files, and... [He took a look around.] I'm quite positive having organic life around isn't something inherent to our planet.
Either way, Lord Shockwave, are you there? Stormfront? Novastorm? Are any of you seeing or hearing this? If you can I can send you my coordinates... I guess... Not very sure about that... [OK maybe he couldn't send coordinates.] I'll find a way to do that! Signing out.
Third Person Sample:
As strange as it was to be spit in some alternate Cybertron that resembled the one he knew but was also very different, Acid Storm was trying to make the most out of that. He was going to treat that as some impromptu field research. After all, he was in an all new scenario, and there were many things to study and see in that place.
The organics were the most fascinating of all. Tiny plants growing from crevices and small, fluffy felines walking around, some even rubbing against his pedes and making strange noises. Those creatures made him think of Ravage. And made him a little too cautious when walking around town. He didn't want to accidentally step on one.
He sometimes took samples of plants and put them in his subspace. Maybe they could be useful for something? He honestly had no idea. That was his first contact with anything of organic nature so he was both fascinated and confused. But a part of him was excited to be exploring that new area. A Cybertron from another universe! What a concept! He doubted anyone would believe him if he ever told that to anyone back home but... it was amazing nevertheless. And it opened the door to so many possibilities... He just had to write down everything he could!
Final Notes: Eh, I don't think so? I'm pretty sure this is all. I hope his background and personality sounded believable!
