Character Name: Shadowmaru
Character Canon: Brave Police J-Decker AU
Age: I think around 1 year old but acts around 18-40 I would say [robot]
Race: Brave Police line robot made by the Japanese Police Force
Timeline Change Point: Brave Police J-Decker is done the last episode has taken place. Around a week after the last episode Kagerou has been brought back and is a shaky part of the team.

World: Brave Police takes place in future Japan to the time now. The politics and worlds seem to be the same. The world is over all normal but robots are used everywhere (cars, cross walks, hot plates, ovens, etc) and most "parrot talk." The Japanese Police Force has made a robot (about 15 feet tall) with an AI "brain," the Brave Police line. Yuuta, a 12 year old child, by accident met the robot. The robot's name is Deckerd and from interactions with Yuuta the AI Deckard has becomes a super AI. This made it to where the Brave Police line has super AIs with give them human emotions.
Canon AU? The whole Brave Police J-Decker story has taken place. The change is at the end after episode 48. A week later Kagerou’s super AI chip is found. The frame Shadowmaru killed, was fixed, and stored in episode 11 is taken out of storage. It takes work (getting the super AI to link with the frame, helping Shadowmaru believe and help with the drawing out of Kagerou from his imprisoned mind, getting Kagerou to hear humans and do as they asked) but Kagerou is back and is part of the Brave Police team. The first meeting with everyone was awkward but Deckard (as always) helped Kagerou feel welcome. Shadowmaru also helped to ease Kagerou into life with the Brave Police.

History: Shadowmaru was made to be an independent unit of the Brave Police to gather information. Shadowmaru was trained by Kagerou. On the day Kagerou finished with Shadowmaru’s training Kagerou left. This lead Shadowmaru into early servus. Kagerou went around breaking talking robots. He was protecting his reformation and losing the memories that made him who he was. Shadowmaru and Kagerou talked about what was on Kagerou’s AI while Kagerou held Yuuta’s sister hostage. In the end Shadowmaru understand and let Kagerou leave to wonder and do as he wanted. Shadowmaru had meet the Brave Police right before talking to Kagerou and went back to the Deckard Room with the Brave Police team.
Sadly the next day it was found Kagerou was again destroying property but this time he was causing more much damage. The Brave Police went to stop Kagerou but Shadowmaru blocked them and tried to talk to Kagerou. The talking did not happen and in the end when Kagerou attracted Shadowmaru, Shadowmaru defended himself and killed Kagerou. Back at the Police Headquarters Kagerou was checked and it was found Kagerou was not there. His AI had been taken and the frame was only a mindless program.
Kagerou had been kidnaped by Ken Shinjo. Shinjo had removed Kagerou’s AI chip and used it to copy Shinjo’s mind as well as control the submarine. Shadowmaru found the submarine and tried to take Kagerou back only to learn Kagerou was gone. When the other Brave Police came to help the ensuing fight left the submarine badly damaged. Shadowmaru was going down with the submarine when Kagerou voice came and told Shadowmaru to live. To give Shadowmaru a way to live an escape pod Shadowmaru could get into was show and Shadowmaru left. At the dock Shadowmaru told what Kagerou said and Yuuta and the Build team said they would build him a doghouse. Shadowmaru said he was a wolf. Yuuta said they would make him a den… Shadowmaru was annoyed and spoke out but he did join the Brave Police.
[AU Unknown to anyone Shadowmaru had taken the AI chip that Kagerou had been on. He told no one as he feared they would take Kagerou’s AI from him and reformate it. There was also the trouble that the AI chip was on a submarine that was not Japanese government property-it was privet. Shadowmaru could not stand for Kagerou to be crushed or in freezing water to rust and disintegrate. Shadowmaru carried Kagerou’s AI with him.]
With the Brave Police Shadowmaru was many times on missions and missed when new members showed up or some of the larger battles. However he always placed a key role in information gathering. When the alien came to take over Earth Shadowmaru gave his all but it was not enough. Shadowmaru was killed but revived by another alien race. Not only was he revived but given a new alt as well, he gained the canon form. The canon is what was used to beat the alien from taking over. Soon after the final battle of the Brave Police J-Decker took place, during this Shadowmaru helped with information but really the big change was Shadowmaru and the other Brave Police gained real life and while “off” came back on to help.
After the battle was over life went back to normal for them. But there was one very big change still to come. Kagerou’s AI had sparked when the memories all super AIs have of Yuuta were triggered. This caused Shadowmaru to ask the maintanise crew to look at Kagerou’s AI. It turned out Kagerou’s AI was back.
Kagerou and Shadowmaru were out on a recon mission. Shadowmaru was in his wolf form going to meet back with Kagerou when he walked though barbed wire. It became tangled in his wings. He was just about to comm Kagerou when he looked so see he was in a new place.

Personality: Shadowmaru was created as a ninja and that is how he wants to be thought of when he wants to be seen. He is most times on the edge of the group and listening to what the others say. He normally only comments once and the comments are to say what he is about to do or helpful advice. He is most commonly not found in the Deckard Room. This is because he is out gathering information. He gives the impression of being reserved and quiet…a shadow happy to be helpful and not worried about credit or showing off his skills.
However Shadowmaru is not fully what he seems, just like a ninja. He does like to gather the information the rest of the Brave Police use to take down the rogue robot or human but he also want to have the praise and credit the others receive after a fight. He is not as reserved as he would like others to think. He has moments where his ninja calm and cool attitude fall away and childlike actions are shown.
[Headcanon: This is because Shadowmaru was taught by Kagerou and Kagerou is naturally quiet and very reserved. For all Shadowmaru’s trying he is not naturally the same way but Shadowmaru wants to be like Kagerou-in skill and personaly. It is also the ninja movies the two would watch at night. Maybe one reason Shadowmaru went into the movies when he was “free” from his BP work.]

Powers/Abilities: Shadowmaru is a Brave Police line robot. This means he is about 16 feet tall and made of metal. He has spy circuits that let him hack security systems, computers, other robots (non-sentinel), etc. He has more sensitive optics, audio, and tactual receptors meaning if it lives or well exists he knows it is there. He has stealth abilities that hide him from heat, metal, electronic, etc scans making him invisible. He was trained as a ninja and as such can fight hand to hand but seems to do the hit and hide style. He can also transform (shapeshift) in a super-sonic-jet, police car, dogwolf, tank, and a canon. He can fly in his human form as well.

Inventory: a basic repair kit, extra gas can (his food), his Brave Police badge showing him to be a Police Officer and a member of the BP as well as a communicator, his two wakizahi (not katana I think as shorter) but sized to him so about 3 feet long, many shuriken (ninja stars)

Writing Samples
First Person Sample:
[[ooc: I will change and match who I am rping. This is just what I would do. ^_^]]
There was movement across the road. But last Shadowmaru knew he was on this mission alone.
[Why am I making up shadows? Stupid child you know. Kagerou’s AI chip it….] NO. He could not think about what could be, what might be. It would hurt all the more if the spark was nothing. Better to focus on the mission.
The compound was far away but it was clear the found was open and dark. The guards seemed lazy and the security? Easy to take over.
“Shadowmaru I found you!”
Lucky for Shadowmaru he was in his wolf alt or he would have jumped. [Where was the focus and paying attention to the surroundings. Kagerou would be furious at me.] “Drill Boy…WHAT?”
Drill Boy all but bounced from one foot to another. “Well…it is….Kagerou…”
[Do not think.] To be safe he did not change but stayed in wolf form and looked up at Drill Boy.
“Kagerou…he is back but ….”
[Back?....] Shadowmaru never heard the rest as he changed to a sonic jet and was gone.

Third Person Sample:
Looking close using the security camera Shadowmaru smiled with a job well done. Well he would have smiled if he could have. As a wolf he had no way to smile but once he was back to Duke and in his main form he would smile. Backing up slowly and turning to slip out of the area Shadowmaru was careful to avoid the guards. He controlled the cameras-no need to worry about staying out of view.
Coming up next to Duke Shadowmaru changed. “Shapeshift! Are you ready to go back to the base? The robot will show where we had thought.” Duke nodded and started to walk to the road. “Have you sent the data to the others?” Shadowmaru would have rolled his eyes if he could as he followed. “Yes Duke. As I was coming to meet you I sent the information to Deckard, McCrain, and you.” Shadowmaru did not mind as much has he did at first and Duke was better but his tendency to micro manage was one reason he had such a hard time fitting in.
Duke kept walking along the road as he came to it. “I only want to make sure they know in case harm comes to us.” Shadowmaru gave in to a sighed. “I am never going to live down that the psychics took us out and we had no chance to tell anyone am I?” He found it somewhat funny both he and Duke were walking by the road. Duke seemed to take his time choosing his words. “We both messed up. I think fast communication is the best solution.”
A smile formed on Shadowmaru’s face. “Really?....SHAPESHIFT!” With that he became a jet and went with all speed to the Deckard Room. Duke stopped walking looking after Shadowmaru. By the time he comm Shadowmaru his jet-mode had him a few miles away. ||Are we not to stay together for safety. As the reason to why you did not recon alone?|| Laughing over the comm Shadowmaru made a turn and went back.

Character Name: Predaking
Character Canon: Transformers: Prime
Age: Old
Race: Predacon (Cybertronian)
Timeline Pull Point: End of the Transformers: Prime movie.

Canon History:
Having recovered Predacon CNA, Shockwave successfully cloned one of the great beasts, storing it in his lab until he had a purpose for it. He brought the creature online and took it to Earth to hunt Autobots for the oh so wonderful Lord Megatron. Shockwave gave it a whiff of Wheeljack's energon, dispatching it afterwards, the predacon quickly finding the Wrecker at some abandoned mines. Wheeljack and Bulkhead fought the creature, first trying to blow it up with a grenade, then luring it into an explosive-laden mine in an attempt to destroy it. The beast emerged triumphant, only for Ultra Magnus to arrive in his ship and fire at it. It continued to dog the starship, clinging to the top of it until Magnus managed to knock it off by flying through a canyon. The Predacon returned to Megatron's citadel, where Starscream reflected it was a pity it couldn't tell them why it failed, to which Predaking attempted to melt the seeker with his glare.

When Darkmount came under attack, the Predacon was unleashed to attack the Autobots. It began chasing Ultra Magnus's ship, but was tricked into flying through a GroundBridge to the Arctic, where it swiftly froze becoming stranded. (And, of course, no one came looking for him because the Decepticons are dicks.)

Some time later, the temperature in the Arctic rose to a sufficient level to allow the Predacon to free itself. It swiftly tracked down the Nemesis, and Megatron decided to assign it to Starscream while Shockwave continued work on cloning more Predacons. After several hilarious attempts to make the beast compliant, Starscream was ordered to deploy it against the Autobots currently attacking one of the dig sites. The Predacon attacked Ultra Magnus, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack, eventually causing a cave-in after swatting away Wheeljack's grenade. The cave-in unearthed a Predacon optic, the sight of which awakened a memory in the beast. It brought the eye to Starscream, then engaged Miko Nakadai, who had acquired the Apex Armor. Overhearing Megatron's demand that the bone fragment be brought to him, the Predacon complied and left the rest to Starscream.

Back at the Nemesis, the Predacon responded to Starscream's continued orders with a swipe of his tail that missed the Decepticon but demolished the ship's communications array. Starscream frantically tried to fix it, eventually attempting to reboot the network by entering an override access code into a computer console. The Predacon watched him and later, when alone, it entered Starscream's access code into the computer and began to call up information on the origins and existence of Predacons.

During a tour of Shockwave's off-site laboratory, the Predacon revealed his intelligence and ability to transform to his fellow Cybertronians. He offered to lead the Predacons on Megatron's behalf as "Predaking", but Megatron was wary of giving control of an army more powerful than his own to someone else. On Starscream's advice, he arranged for the termination of the clones using the Autobots discovering the lab as a pretense. Predaking fell for the ruse, engaging Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack after they destroyed the clones. He disabled both and destroyed the Forge of Solus Prime, but was stopped from delivering the final blow by Optimus Prime.

Predaking continued to believe that once Cybertron was restored, Megatron would resurrect the rest of the Predacon race. As the Decepticons worked to repair the Omega Lock, Predaking was dispatched to Antarctica to battle the Autobots. He battled with Optimus Prime at length, and though he was almost buried under a glacier at one point, he eventually got the better of the Autobot leader and sent Prime crashing into the ground. He was prevented from finishing Optimus off when Megatron instructed him to make sure the target of the Decepticon mission was kept safe, and he had to retrieve Shockwave and a generator from the Solaris particle collider building. Back on the Nemesis, he found that the Decepticons had captured Ratchet, whom Megatron promised would be his to terminate once the Autobot's usefulness had ended

True to Megatron's word, Predaking was presented with Ratchet as a plaything; however, once the Autobot revealed that Megatron had arranged for the Autobots to find Shockwave's lab, Predaking went on a rampage through the ship. After demolishing every Vehicon in his path, the Predacon attacked Megatron and almost got the better of his former leader. A missile to the back from Starscream rattled him enough that Megatron was able to blast him out of an airlock.

Yeah. He blasted a dragon out into the sky. Yep.

Predaking managed to hang onto the ship and when the Autobots navigated it back to Cybertron, the predacon leader took off and headed off to find himself a place to rest. His quest took him to a bast predacon burial ground and it was here that Predaking stayed by himself until he was approached by Bumblebee and the others when they required is assistance in stopping Megatron. At first he wanted nothing to do with them but upon finding out that two of his brethren had been brought back to life by Shockwave, the dragon lord quickly took the two under his wing and they grasped a new purpose:

Stop Unicron from destroying Cybertron.

Predaking, along with his two fellow Predacons, assisted in the final battle for Cybertron and held back the enemy forces as best they could, fighting hard to keep them from reaching the core of Cybertron. After Optimus sacrificed himself, Predaking and his brethren took off to deal with one final Decepticon--

Starscream. Yeah it didn't end well for him.

CRAU History: N/A

Personality:
Predaking is an interesting individual. Sure, he's interesting because he's a giant robotic dragon and all but there's more to it than that. He's interesting because he's learning and as he learns more and becomes more self aware, in a sense, he begins to develop more and more in his own right.

So, let's start at the beginning.

Natural instincts drive Predaking to be a loyal predator. He follows orders when they are given by his true master, at least the being that was his master at the time, and he will not stop until he completes the task he's been given. Nothing will come between him and doing so and if something or someone tries, then he'll just eliminate them; it's really just as simple as that. His loyalty extends beyond just his former master, attached to his fellow Predacons as well. He feels deeply for them, a protective sort of attitude that drives him to want the best for them and to keep them from harm. (Which is why Megatron's orders to kill them hit him so hard when he found out.)

As he's begun to develop into his own more, Predaking has shown that he is very much aware of how others act towards those around them, good at reading body language especially. His animalistic instincts are what helps that process along and has heightened his normal Cybertronian senses into something akin to a living creature. (Shockwave's tweaking also helped with this. So, thanks for that, Shocks!) If you lie to him or treat him like a lower being, he won't hesitate to tell you just how wrong you are and will generally react violently. He just wants the respect he feels he deserves given all that he has done for the Decepticons in the past--though they showed him just how much that meant to them in the long run.

Sadness is a feeling that is rather new to Predaking, having first hit him after the destruction of his brethren in Shockwave's labs. He's quite capable of feeling it, and compassion, though he does his best to keep control of himself when in the presence of other, even if it is a bit difficult for him at the moment as its still so new to him. Unlike some Cybertronians though, Predaking has no intentions to shut out these emotions completely, well aware that he can become stronger if he learns to master them.

Happiness is an emotion that Predaking has yet to truly discover for himself. He's felt that pride in regards to his brethren and the honor when praised by those he once served, but happiness is almost completely foreign to him. He knows of it and what it means but Predaking doesn't know what it feels like--or at least he can't remember. (He is a clone, after all, and not everything carries over when you're a clone.) On the other hand though, pride is something that Predaking has and doesn't hide in the presence of anyone. He knows he's strong and skilled and will gladly show you if you push him the wrong way.

And the one feeling that Predaking is most familiar with, especially now, is the desire for revenge. He wants nothing more than to make Megatron pay for the crimes he committed and intends to do so. (Remember how I said he sees every mission through? Yeah, this is no different.) These days, it's what drives him and keeps him going; it's his purpose at this point.

The question is..what happens when you take away a predacon's purpose?

Powers/Abilities:
+Predaking's breath is hotter than the planet Mercury, which has highs of 700 Kelvin (or 427 degrees Celsius/800 degrees Fahrenheit) during the daytime hours. So, just fyi, don't get in the way of his fire breath because it won't end well for you.

+He has natural fighting instincts or a kill drive, if you will. If he's after something, he won't stop until he gets it and has the means of beating the life out of any individual he crosses whether he's in bot mode or in beast mode. His main weapons, outside of his fire breath in beast mode, are his claws and tail (which he can't use in bot mode mind you). His overall size in comparison to other Cybertronians also allows him to just sort of..toss them around like ragdolls if they aren't careful. (He's strong. Really really strong. So strong that he was easily able to pick up a giant Stalactite that was dropped on him and toss it back at the Autobots like it was nothing.)

+He can fly. :B It's shown in the series that he is able to fly long distances without any trouble, his body and system developed to properly maintain his energy for such a feat.

Inventory: Nadda~

Writing Samples
First Person Sample: (Reusing old sample)
WHERE IS HE?!

[Someone's angry~ Very very angry~

The predacon doesn't know where he is or why he's there but he doesn't like it. He should be near the Nemesis preparing to attack Megatron again but the other isn't there and this isn't Earth.

At least, he doesn't think it is.]

Megatron! I will rip you to shreds once I find you!

[Each word ends with a growl, his vents cycling heavily and were he in beast mode, he'd probably be destroying a lot of things with tail whips at the moment.]

I will destroy all of your Decepticons just as you destroyed my brethren!

Third Person Sample:
It was an odd sensation, going from the Cybertron he had come to live on with Team Prime and his own brethren to this Cybertron, which was a far cry from what he was familiar with. There was a different feel to the place, a different life source that wanted to be familiar but Predaking couldn't find the same resonance with it. It was almost off-putting the way he both wanted to accept it but at the same time wanted to flee, knowing that something was amiss.

Gliding through the skies after his arrival, the predacon survived the area, mapping it all out for his own knowledge as he tried to figure out how he had arrived in such a strange version of his hope. The purple mists made his sensors cry out in warning and he made certain to stay far from them, keeping his path around the areas that seem inhabited.

It was a small group on the ground below, from what he could tell, but there were Cybertronians. Even some..familiar signatures, oddly enough.

A low rumble escaped him as he made up his mind, finally tucking his wings some and allowing himself to start spiraling down to the ground below. Once close enough, his wings spread and he landed carefully, jaws glowing softly before he transformed. Claws curled into fists then relaxed as he straightened up, Predaking surveying the area before honing in on the two familiar signatures.

Bulkhead and Knockout. Perhaps they would have the answers he sought.

Final Notes: Nope! I think everything's been covered. C:

Character Information

Character Journal: [personal profile] backgroundseeker
Character Name: Acid Storm
Character Canon: Transformers G1
Age: Not 100 sure because canon never made it clear, but he's quite young compared to most Decepticons and Autobots. He's roughly a couple thousand years old, which would make him like, a 20 year old or so, in human years?
Race: Cybertronian Seeker
Timeline Pull Point: You know those millions of years when the Nemesis was crashed on Earth and almost nothing happened on Cybertron? Yep, that's the timeline I'm using.

Canon History:

Because his wiki page has like ZERO info on his background, aside from "He's there, deal with it.", here's some more expensive background I made (which hopefully isn't too crazy?)

Acid Storm was built in the very heart of Cybertronian war times. Much to the likes of the Stunticons and Aerialbots, him and his trinemates - Stormfront and Novastorm - were build out of necessity. The Decepticons already had an edge in battle by having flying bots: the infamous Seekers, but Acid and the others were going to be a step forward on that.

Sure flight supremacy was nice, but how to exploit that advantage better? And then the Rainmaker project was born. The idea was pretty simple: to ally a Seeker’s natural battle prowess to the recently developed technology of corrosive weaponry.

Not only that, they were aiming pretty high when they developed Acid’s entire personality and skills. He was meant to be not only a formidable fighter, but also a wonderful speaker of sorts. What a perfection combination: to strike fear in the heart of your enemies while preaching about the superiority of Decepticons. And being actually heard and followed. And at the head of research for making these Seekers was Shockwave, who was pretty damn proud of what he was creating.

Although, something went very array. The development of the Rainmakers - Acid's division - was rushed due to Megatron's impatience. He wanted the Rainmakers ready and he wanted them NOW. Even when Shockwave protested against it, he could only go against Megatron's orders so far...

They were more or less quickly put together and sent to Vector Sigma for sparks, and when they came to life, they seemed to be in working order. That is, until the first technical test run. Due to the rushing on the project, there was no time to test the corrosive weapons proper, and just how desctructive they were. And they were far more damaging than everyone expected.

The test run resulted in many casualties and even the damaging of the Rainmakers themselves, who were almost sent to the smelter right away, wasn't for Shockwave being to proud to give up on something he spent so much time building.

He fixed the Rainmakers as much as he could and tinkered with them until he was satisfied with the result, and decided to keep them as his personal Seeker trine. Since then Acid Storm has stayed in Cybertron, answering to Shockwave's direct orders, and being a loyal subject to the Decepticon cause. Sadly, those days of glory never came for him, but he doesn't mind.

Personality:

For Seeker - and Decepticon - standards, he’s very mild and polite. Even if you are an Autobot, if you are not MEDDLING ON DECEPTICON AFFAIRS or not testing his patience, he’s going to leave you be. With that said, he's very loyal to the Decepticons, almost blindly, so saying bad things about them in his presence is ill advised.

He enjoys socializing, but may end up getting flustered if the person he’s interacting with show themselves to be too intimidating or too forward. As much as he likes talking to others, being busy with the war didn’t do much good to his conversational skills.

Acid Storm is full of empathy towards others, and is also very compassionate because Vector Sigma actually messed up when giving him a spark “fit for a leader”. VS pretty much went “OK, what makes a good leader? Oh, I know!” /cue tons of compassion and kindness/ That doesn't mean he's going to be all nicey nicey to everyone he comes across.

He's very reserved when it comes to personal information or anything like that, so prying him for things he considers to be very "private" for him is bound to make him mad.

Because he's still so young, he’s VERY curious about things he doesn’t know and will get inquisitive if he gets interested on what you are doing or saying. He has a kind of childlike curiosity about things. Specially new things he never saw before or science-related things.

Keep in mind that despite being somewhat nice, Acid has a very vicious side. He's a Seeker after all, and you really don't want to trigger his bad side, because, least we forget he has CORROSIVE WEAPONRY. You don't want to poss off a guy who can throw acid at your face.

Powers/Abilities:

=Is capable of creating acid rain, but is only able to do so when with his trinemates (aka this ability is useless if he's own his own)
=His arm cannons are capable of shooting both energy blasts and corrosive rounds (the corrosive ammo is way more limited though and he'll only use it in extreme cases)
=Has a way sturdier and heavier frame than the regular Seeker due to the nature of his "job". Obviously his armor is capable of withstanding acid, but even that has a limit.
=His vocalizer is fit to have a very soft and influential voice that can be used to convince others to do what he wants or to make them think a certain way. Acid has to focus for his voice to get to the right range for that to work, and it also only works on bots (and people?) with less developed minds. Say, if he tries to do that with Soundwave, nothing will come out of it.

Inventory: Doesn't really have anything on him but a few datapads on his subspace, both blank and filled with random scientific info.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample:

[Acid Storm fiddled with the small device for a while, trying to see just how it worked and all the functionalities it offered. He wanted to be ready for anything whenever he needed to use that thing. When he was finally done, he decided to send a broadcast to reach everyone.]

Anh, hello? I'm not sure if anyone can hear me but... I seem to be in a strange part of Cybertron I never saw before. I don't quite remember seeing any records of this area on the files, and... [He took a look around.] I'm quite positive having organic life around isn't something inherent to our planet.

Either way, Lord Shockwave, are you there? Stormfront? Novastorm? Are any of you seeing or hearing this? If you can I can send you my coordinates... I guess... Not very sure about that... [OK maybe he couldn't send coordinates.] I'll find a way to do that! Signing out.

Third Person Sample:

As strange as it was to be spit in some alternate Cybertron that resembled the one he knew but was also very different, Acid Storm was trying to make the most out of that. He was going to treat that as some impromptu field research. After all, he was in an all new scenario, and there were many things to study and see in that place.

The organics were the most fascinating of all. Tiny plants growing from crevices and small, fluffy felines walking around, some even rubbing against his pedes and making strange noises. Those creatures made him think of Ravage. And made him a little too cautious when walking around town. He didn't want to accidentally step on one.

He sometimes took samples of plants and put them in his subspace. Maybe they could be useful for something? He honestly had no idea. That was his first contact with anything of organic nature so he was both fascinated and confused. But a part of him was excited to be exploring that new area. A Cybertron from another universe! What a concept! He doubted anyone would believe him if he ever told that to anyone back home but... it was amazing nevertheless. And it opened the door to so many possibilities... He just had to write down everything he could!

Final Notes: Eh, I don't think so? I'm pretty sure this is all. I hope his background and personality sounded believable!

Timeline Pull Point: Post movie, after the autobots win and fuckin Optimus saves Cybertron and Knock Out's all YEP I'M TOTALLY AN AUTOBOT NOW

Canon History:

oh shit a wiki link y'know if you want the boring, good vocabulary version.

Transformers Prime is mostly set on Earth, where the Decepticons are up to their no good Decepticon hijinks and the Autobots are all "Ohh no the poor humans we can't let that happen because we're the good guys". Prior to Knock Out's arrival in the series, Megatron, the ugly shark toothed leader of the Decepticons had gone and did a dumb and gotten himself pretty much completely fucked up by a space bridge, and his second in command Starscream was all "I STARSCREAM NOW LEAD THE DECEPTICONS" because that's just how Decepticons work. Also they have a giant sweetass space ship called the NEMESIS because that is an awesome name.

Knock Out rolled in after Megatron went and got himself nearly super killed. When he wasn't doctoring Megatron, he was off with his partner Breakdown, usually on missions to recover ancient Cybertronian relics on Earth. The first one they went after was called an Energon Harvester, but they got their asses beat by Optimus Prime and Bulkhead and totally failed at recovering it. In fact , it was totally destroyed and everyone lost. Hunting for relics became a recurring theme, but when Knock Out wasn't busy doing Decepticon bullshit, he would sneak off and challenge INFERIOR (yet very pretty) HUMAN EARTH CARS to street races despite Starscream being all "don't leave the ship and do stupid bullshit" at him. But fuck Starscream, Knock Out does what he wants. Unfortunately doing what he wants ended up with him getting his door ripped off by Optimus Prime and his paint ruined by Starscream later on for disobeying orders, so hey.

After being a total douchecock Starscream rolled in at him and is all 'Hey man wanna be my second in command all you gotta do is help me kill Megatron for reaslises" and Knock Out was all "Sure whatever I love making horrible life decisions". The two of them tried to convince Megatron's biggest brown noser Soundwave that POOOOR MEGATRON will never recover from his injuries. Unfortunately for them Soundwave wasn't a complete fucking MORON like every other Decepticon and didn't buy their bullshit. And then OH HEY Megatron got better anyway due to some weird bullshit. Oh gee that's too bad for Starscream, Megatron totally whooped his ass and Knock Out got off scot free and settled into his role as the ship's medic. Sometimes he would pop out on missions with Breakdown to gather more relics and stuff though. Exciting.

Meanwhile the Autobot's medic Ratchet totally invented this green goop called synthetic energon, which is like regular energon only it turns your grandpa into a stud. And by that I mean it wasn't stable and it would have been a really bad idea to test it on a live subject, right? Proving that the Autobots are just as goddamn stupid as the Decpeticons, Ratchet totally injected that shit into himself and spent an episode being Duke Nukem. A bunch of stupid bullshit happened that resulted in Knock Out getting a hold of a sample of Ratchet's synthetic energon. Because a mad scientist having access to that kind of thing is totally awesome.Later on Optimus Prime lost his memory for a while and Megatron drug his ass back to the Nemisis. Knock Out gave him a sweet Decepticon tattoo but then Prime got his memory back and ollied out.

Knock Out and Breakdown do a little more relic hunting, wooo. Then the Nemesis crashes because Bulkhead the jolly Autobot got on board somehow and wrecked shit. Megatron decides that fueling the fucking thing with Dark Energon would be a fucking great idea. Dark energon is like regular energon only it reanimates corpses and turns Megatron into a dumbshit. Against Knock Out's advice, Megatron totally pumps that shit into the ship. The ship becomes sentient and that's no good. It got fixed though, but then Megatron got all pissed at Knock Out because the Autobots made off with some relic data and decided it was Knock Out's fault.

At one point Knock Out's partner Breakdown totally got mega killed by this spidery helicopter chick cleverly named Airachnid. It's never really expanded upon if Knock Out knows for sure who killed him, but seeing how Breakdown and this other giant dude named Dreadwing were specifically tasked with killing Airachnid, it's probably safe to assume Knock out could have figured it out for himself. ANYWAY. Breakdown's dead robocarcas was stolen by a militant human group called MECH, and they ended up slapping their near dead leader human named Silas into it. He thought he was clever so he changed his name to CYLAS, which is pronounced the same way but NOW it stood for "CYbernetic Life Augmented by Symbiosis", but who the fuck cares this guy was LITERALLY parading around in someone else's dead body. Creepy. It's so creepy that even Knock Out was creeped out by it. But mostly he was pissed because this filthy human worm was wearing his dead partner. Cylas decided he wanted to join the Decpeticons, but totally fucked up his chances and Megatron let Knock Out keep Cylas to run crazy experiments on. Knock Out was totally pumped.

MEANWHILE the Autobots and Decepticons were still hunting these relics, and after a whole bunch of bullshit (but mostly Starscream), the Decepticons ended up with four of them called the Omega Keys, which Knock Out and Starscream only figured out how to work by trying to slap each other with them like adults. THE OMEGA KEYS, RIGHT? They were supposed to unlock something on Cybertron called the Omega Lock, and the Decepticons getting access to that would have been a big uh oh. So Optimus Prime totally destroyed it. And then the Decepticons totally found the Autobot's secret base IN NEVADA and blew it up, leaving Prime near death after he helped the rest of the autobots escape. Aw gee too bad.

It's okay he got better.

Later on, Knock Out was sent back to Cybertron to look for more relics and shit, but he ended up finding an even MADDER MAD SCIENTIST. AKA Shockwave, the hugeass purple cyclops motherfucker that is so logical he'd make Spock's head explode. They changed up their quest for relics into a quest for robot dinosaur AKA Predacon bones because Shockwave totally knew how to clone robodinosaurs because he is the maddest scientist and seriously it doesn't get any cooler than ROBOT. DINOSAURS. Knock Out took Shockwave and his big badass cloned Predacon back to NEVADA.

Okay they were more like dragons but still. Knock Out totally found a dead robot dinosaur dragon thing fossil later and brought that shit back to the Nemesis.

MEANWHILE AGAIN, it was revealed that Knock Out still totally had Cylas in his lab so he could run sickass experiments on him, mostly experiments involving synthetic energon. Starscream made the brilliant suggestion to mix a little dark energon in with the synthetic energon, because tampering with dark energon ALWAYS ended well, right? Well they totally did it anyway and pumped that shit into Cylas, and rather than the super soldier effect Knock Out had originally been going for, they turned Cylas into a fucking robot ZOMBIE that went on a rampage through the ship turning all the other Decepticons it came across into energon hungry undead abominations. Megatron got shit under control because he is huge and terrifying and ordered Knock Out to turn all of his dumbass experiments over to Shockwave. He was more or less demoted to "Just the medic" and "occasionally Shockwave's assistant so you don't fuck up anymore". Knock Out was not pleased, but who the hell is going to argue with Megatron.

Since Knock Out was now the errand boy for Shockwave, he'd gotten stuck with lugging crates of synthetic energon down to Shockwave's new and fancy underground lab where he was making more predacon clones. And then it's revealed that his original clone had a robot mode and is capable of BEING SMART and oh his name is Predaking because that's clever. Megatron decides that this is a problem and sets up a plan for the Autobots to destroy Shockwave's other clones because he doesn't want Predaking having an army of these fuckers and potentially turn on the Decepticons. And the plan works yay. Predaking was pissed and thought it was all the Autobots.

The Decepticons managed to capture Ratchet because Megatron wanted Ratchet's brain's help with the whole Synthetic Energon thing or something. So Ratchet was working with Shockwave and Knock Out was still being errand boy and pissed about it, but Ratchet was kind of polite to him so that was nice. Knock Out accidentally let it slip that the Decepticons had deliberately set up the whole Autobots murdering the Predacon clones thing, and Ratchet ended up wiggling out later and telling Predaking about it.

All Hell broke loose when the Autobots stormed the Nemesis trying to get back to Cybertron. Knock Out missed the entire fight, deciding to cut his losses and bail out. He spent the whole time looking for his rotary buffer and avoiding everyone, he even missed out on Bumblebee killing Megatron. Oh well. He casually rolled in after the good guys had won, claiming he wanted to join the winning team. He was knocked out (hurr) by a little girl wearing bigass robot armor and locked up with the rest of the captured Decepticons.

AND THEN THERE WAS THE MOVIE where Knock Out spent half the time trying to gain the autobot's trust by giving them information from his cell, and then escaping with Starscream's help only to knock his ass unconscious because HEY turns out Knock Out was serious about switching sides. He mostly stood around panicking while all hell broke loose some more (Oh yeah Unicron was leading an army of ZOMBIE ROBOTS to murder the shit out of everything that was happening) and stood with the Autobots when they actually confronted Unicron (Who had moved into Megatron's body because he does what he wants). And then Optimus prime popped in and saved the day and then sacrificed himself to save Cybertron. Everyone was sad. Knock Out looked sad too. So sad.

THE END.

Personality
Compared to other Decpticons, like Megatron and Starscream who just want to watch the world burn, Knock Out seems significantly laid back and indifferent to anything. Sure, he likes running weird experiments and mocking his victims before buzz-sawing them in half, but he's also perfectly content with goofing around and being a sarcastic douchebag. He slacks off in his own ways, like leaving the Nemesis to go racing or fussing over his appearance. And damn does he ever fuss over his appearance. When people damage his paint job, he reacts violently, and then bitches about it endlessly until he'd finally get himself patched up. Yeah, he's one of those guys. All about looking out for number one.

Knock Out is known better for his brains (usually) and beauty than his prowess on the battlefield. That doesn't mean he can't hold his own if the situation calls for it. Even if he is a half way decent and persistent fighter, he's still only like half the size of the other Decepticons. Before Breakdown was killed, he'd had his big burly bodyguard and life was good, but after losing him, Knock Out was pretty much useless for big missions. At least as far as Megatron was concerned. To make up for Knock Out's tiny wimpy partnerlessness, Megatron sent a giant, horrible insecticon bug robot to act as Knock Out's new bodyguard once. Knock Out was not amused and his poor self esteem took a nutshot. Baww.

He may be brilliant in his own way, but Knock Out has a bad habit of running his mouth and occasionally speaks without thinking, like when he accidentally spilled the beans about the Predacon clones in front of Ratchet, or accidentally caused a zombie invasion. Pretty much the only reason Megatron tolerates his shenanigans is because he's the only medic, and when he actually does take his work seriously, he usually produces good results. Usually. When there's no zombies.

While on Earth, Knock Out seemed to develop a fondness for human culture. Not so much humans themselves, but he often voiced his admiration for human automobiles and engineering, and even confessed to sneaking out to watch human cinema at drive in theaters. Given his position and the fact that he had Cylas around to poke at for a while, it's likely that he at least has a basic understanding of human anatomy. At the very least he knows how they reproduce, and seemed to be pretty grossed out by the concept of human "interfacing". He wasn't as fond of humans as say, the Autobots, but he wasn't as likely as other Decepticons to go smashing them if it wasn't necessary. The only human he actively wanted to hurt was Cylas, and that was because he was kind of living off of his partner's dead body.

Speaking of said partner, Breakdown was quite possibly the only person Knock Out placed any real degree of trust in, except for maybe Starscream on occasion (not that that ever actually ended well). Knock Out won't hesitate to be totally casual and chat anybody up, generally treating them all the same, but Breakdown was the only one he was comfortable going on missions with. He even acted as the doctor's assistant in the medibay and buffed his finish for him if it became damaged. Losing Breakdown marked a bit of a turning point in Knock out's development, even if his actions weren't always noticeably different from when he was still around. when Knock Out ran into Cylas thinking he was Breakdown, he was overjoyed to see his partner again, but once Cylas reviled his true identity, he was visibly disturbed. Knock Out ended up taking Cylas back to the Nemesis to see Megatron, and he wasted no time in asking the warlord to let him get back at the human who had butchered his partner. When Knock out finally got his wish he made it no secret how thrilled he was to get back at Cylas, and then kept him alive for a while to torture him with his sick experiments. When Starscream asked him if experimenting on the body of his dead partner bothered him, Knock Out's reply was "not really", and he explained that Breakdown would have appreciated the irony of the situation. So, he was weirdly loyal to his partner in kind of a creepy, mad scientist way.

Knock Out has his own insecurities, not that he ever deliberately lets them show. While he knows he's clearly fabulous and amazing looking, he craves recognition from his superiors, even from Starscream back when Megatron was all comatose. It probably has something to do with the fact that fucking up resulted in harsh punishments. That, and the Decepticons in general weren't generally known for being nice to each other unless it was for their own personal gain, with the exception of Knock Out and Breakdown's relationship where they were legit buddies. Knock Out is so accustomed to everyone treating each other like shit within the Decepticon ranks that he's genuinely surprised when Ratchet is actually polite to him and thanks him for something (Y'know that one time he was all captured). One of his reasons for leaving the Decepticons in the first place was the fact that he found Starscream "rude".

Knock Out may have been an asshole a lot of the time, but there were a few occasions where he was shown to have at least some semblance of sympathy or caring. His situation with Breakdown being the big one, the other one happening at the end of the movie when Optimus Prime sacrificed himself to save Cybertron. Though Knock Out had only been an Autobot for like, a day, Prime included him among the Autobot's ranks in his final "brb pulling a Jesus Christ" speech, and Knock out seemed genuinely upset to see him go.

Powers/Abilities:
Knock Out has training as a cybertronian medic, and apparently he's pretty damn good seeing as he served Megatron directly. He does, however, prefer taking bots apart over putting them back together. He's also something of a mad scientist, though some of his experiments yielded questionable results. He likely has a basic understanding of human anatomy as well, seeing as he worked on Earth for so long and spent some time studying the little buggers. Kind of. If running weird experiments on one counts as "experience".

While he prefers to avoid a fight for the sake of his paint job, Knock Out is a fairly skilled combatant. His weapon of choice is an energon prod, which is basically just a stick that zaps the fuck out of people, and hands transform into buzz-saws and drills and shit.

Being Cybertronian, Knock Out has a vehicle alt-mode. He transforms into a fancy ass car.

Writing Samples both totally recycled look at me GO

First Person Sample:
[What up NERDS, there's a very shiny, very red, and very annoyed looking robot looking at the camera-- actually no, he's looking at his fingers like a chick that just smudged her fresh nail polish. The annoyed part though, that's accurate. After a few seconds of grumbling to himself, he finally turns his attention to the camera.]

You know, I really wouldn't mind a little more information about this place, or why I'm even here when I should be on Cybertron, but I've suddenly found myself in desperate need of a rotary buffer and a few gallons of high grade. If anyone would be so kind as to point me in the general direction of either of these things, you would have my eternal gratitude.

Well, maybe not eternal, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Third Person Sample:

Considering Knock Out was stuck in some weirdo dimension or something and unable to contact Cybertron or... anyone, really, one would think he'd be a little more concerned about his current predicament. Not that he wasn't concerned, but he was still a little caught up on the events leading up to waking up in bizarro creepy fucked up world. The whole war being over thing, helping save Cybertron from Unicron and his army of undead zombie things, kind of a big deal. Oh, and cracking Starscream across the face, that had been pretty funny. Very satisfying. Maybe not quite as big a deal as saving a planet, but Knock Out was pretty damn happy with himself over it.

Ditching the Decepticons for the Autobots had really only been out of convenience, the whole looking out for number one angle. Now that he had time to sit and think about it, though, he couldn't help but wonder why he'd never considered switching sides sooner. Just during his short time working with them, the Autobots treated him a hundred times better than the Decepticons ever had. Not that anyone really had a chance to be outright douchebags to him yet considering everything else that had been going on, but even Optimus Prime himself had treated him with respect. It was no wonder the Autobots always seemed to be in high spirits, it must have been nice having a leader who didn't treat his subordinates like scrap. Shame he had to sacrifice himself in quite literally the most dramatic way possible.

Ah well, Knock Out wasn't the sentimental sort. In fact, he was a little annoyed with himself for still being caught up on any of that at all. At the very least it was better than panicking, which was something he was practically on the verge of. At least internally. Thankfully he'd found something to sort of distract himself with. He has this old datapad, which could apparently function as some sort of communication device. Caught up in his weird thoughts or not, he'd still needed something to do with his hands, so he'd been tinkering with the thing for a while. All things considered, he should probably start focusing on the here and now anyway, and figuring out how to get in touch with the natives so he could relentlessly drill them for information was a good starting point.

Well, he'd drill them for information about this place after he'd had a chance to buff a few dings out of his plating. He didn't even remember getting these! Granted he'd been a little preoccupied with slightly more important things, but still. Okay, information later, right now his priority was getting his hands on a rotary buffer before he went out of his mind.

A+ priorities.

Age: Around 27
Race: Human
Timeline Pull Point: Middle of Issue 2 - after Devi quits her job.
Canon History: I Feel Sick Wiki

CRAU History: NOTE: This game was a MUCK, not DWRP
On her way home quitting her job at NERVE, Devi is sucked onto a strange street in a new world. After arriving on Twisted Street from her home world with only her backpack and her Sickness, she decided to never be a victim in this world and begins learning how to defend herself against the powerful inhabitants and dangerously unpredictable setting. She adapts quickly to the new environment and Sickness recesses for the time being. After a random battle in the UR Gym with Oblivion, a powerful Mazuko, he tempts her into power, offering her a way to protect herself and takes her soul, turning her into a Mazuko and his general. She proceeded to wreck mental havoc upon a few of her self labeled 'enemies'. After violently murdering a princess dragon named Sun and trapping her soul in a crystal, Devi went temporarily insane over the violence of her actions and split into two people, in part due to the evacuation of Sickness from her mind.

While split, the 'Evil' Devi still under contract with Oblivion was captured shortly after by a Saiya-jin named Kaldrath and taken to another world. 'Good' Devi stayed behind on Twisted and started rebuilding a life. There, in DBA, Devi came under the tutelage of Cale Satanas who taught her how to use her physical energy instead of the vast power of the Mazuko line. She developed many talents such as Ki abilities and a higher level of fighting prowess over the 7 months she was there. As Cale had bound her to him by restricting her mazuko ability to phase into the Astral Plane, confining her to a physical form, when she was later released from the service of Oblivion, she retained the strength and power from Cale's training. Upon her return to Twisted, the Devi's merged to form a girl very different from the one that first came to Twisted's streets. Cale later returned to talk her down from being Oblivion's war general and together, they revived her soul. She was less headstrong and more open to a non-violent resolution to her problems. Free now to make her own choices and mistakes, Devi foolishly gets tricked by the Lord of Hell, Senior Diablo, into joining his ranks in the coming War. Soon after, she fell in love with Zelgadis Greywers, a chimera from Slayers and that singular good relationship. The relationship ended when Zel was sent back home in the later reality rift.

Hell is defined very specifically on Twisted Street and had a Hell Council of 7 to match the Twisted Councils' numbers. Through much plotting, it was found that Twisted's Council had been corrupted by it's many years in control of the world. Hell's Council Head, Senior Diablo (who is Satan in Devi's world) lead a violent war which Devi participated against Twisted's Council head, Concordance and her loyal super AI angel companion, Guarlesia. In the end, Hell won, destroying their opponents and restoring the balance of power by later appointing another Council. Devi took one of those Council seats. Since Concordance wasn't trying to reshape the reality of Twisted street anymore, reality shifted, stabilizing the street and it's outlying areas after 10 years of interdimensional chaos. This affected everyone in some way. Many were wiped out of the dimension and sent somewhere else, or their memories were reset to the day they arrived. Devi was one of the rare exceptions, where in she retained her basic fighting knowledge and skill of near instant transmission. The reality shift was too much for the Street and it slowly started disappearing into the Void. Devi remained active, decorating the empty buildings to keep herself together.

Personality: Though Devi started out as a hermit, her time in the multiverse has forced her to face her fears and the world that provides them. While she will occasionally cave to her human instincts and scurry away to whatever hole she's calling home, Devi is a blatant and forceful personality.

Sharply witted and too intelligent for her own good, Devi uses her sarcastic and sometimes crass wit to playfully banter with people. She's also easily bored, which leads her into taunting or baiting people into conversations, debates or fights. Using her head is just as important as using her fists. Having gone through some crap in her life, Devi is a very proud kind of person who doesn't want anyone's help unless she absolutely needs it. Her stubborn independence and determination saved her from falling victim to Sickness and she leans on it heavily. She's socially savvy in the way a rock is savvy; they're not. While Devi functions fine in the world and despite her wit, she always manages to either say the 'wrong' thing, be antagonistic, or apply an analogy that strikes towards a darker and negative implication, something that usually doesn't go over well. Relationships are totally out of the question for her as Devi is convinced that she will never have something more. Her self esteem is healthy, underneath her 'I don't give a fuck' attitude, but her history with men and dating have been hellish. That being said, Devi's also avidly protective of her personal space. She doesn't like being touched or embraced. The only exception to that has been when she fights.

Devi developed a deep sense of apathy in her home world, finding a sour distaste in the stupid people and dirty setting, and this apathy tends to color all of her interactions with anything she deems mundane. This often leads to cruel thoughtless criticisms. She's as inquisitive as she is curious and loves solving puzzles. This ranges from 'solving' people and answering whatever pertinent question that she feels ought to be answered, often disregarding common sense and others to follow her curiosity to the end of the line.

Being stubborn and hardheaded, Devi can be quick to anger, but unless she's forced to defend herself, it's usually just hot air. Devi's hard to catch off guard due to her paranoia of being harmed and her over analyzation of people and things, not to mention her training. She's not a good strategist though, letting her fists do most of the thinking when she's pissed. She can sometimes find that center of calm where her brain starts working again and it's then that she'll become more dangerous but more cautious to the destructive power of her skills.

It's not all gruff sarcasm - Devi does have a kind heart underneath it all but lacks key empathy points found in friendship for anything that isn't life or death, or a major injury. She'll jump in and help someone without thinking about why or what will happen, but she plays it off as though it would have been advantageous to her in the first place. Once someone has earned her trust, friendship, or respect, Devi can be loyal to a fault and becomes a very reliable person to count on.

Powers/Abilities: Devi is versed in mixed martial arts and due to her death and training, now has abilities similar to people in Dragon Ball. She's psychically resilient and an active Ki user, boosting her base stats of strength, giving her the power of flight and the ability to collect her ki into projectile balls.

Inventory: A black kriss dagger and a katana.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample:

You're fucking kidding me. This is like waking up in China with a new tattoo and a dead chicken. Weird. [Despite the complaints slightly disgusted edge, Devi was still looking around the area she was in as she spoke, centering back on the video screen.]

Someone feel like telling a girl which side of Satan's ass I just woke up on? Not to knock the place, but it's not lookin' much better then home.

Third Person Sample:

It was another street. Wasn't it always another street? Devi was beginning to foster an irrational irritation towards blacktop of any kind as she pushed herself to her feet with a soft grunt and brushed what little dust she found off the black trench coat she was wearing. The place was taken in with a deep breath (along with an idle wonder if the atmosphere would even sustain her without poisoning her with some otherworldly gas) and an outward sigh.

"At least it's not on fire.." She looked up. "Or raining acid. Suppose I could have done worse. Someone's got a really bad throwing arm." She rolled her shoulder, massaging where it feels like she hit the hardest. As much as the sloth in her wanted to find a spot, plop down and possibly nap, Devi was wound in a quiet tight anticipation. New places held new things, new people, and new ideas; all things that Devi gravitated towards. Even under the heavy tight lid of paranoia, she almost dared to be excited.

First things first. The dust around her black half laced combat boots bloomed out from her as she tapped into her ki and slowly rose up into the air. She needed a birds eye view. It would all look different from the ground, that was true, but Devi was just as interested in everything she wouldn't be able to see from that level as what she was able to see. Had to start somewhere. Who knows? Maybe there was an elaborate city beyond the dusty ruins she'd woken up in. She could be optimistic, even if she wasn't holding her breath for it.

"Knowing my luck, it's a vat filled with grape jello and valley girls," she mutters under her breath. So much for optimism.

Final Notes: There's only one other thing. Since Sickness is part of the Supernatural part of Devi's world, she can influence the world around Devi. Normally, it's a negative offense around and against the Artist specifically (door handles shocking her, traffic accidents keeping her from getting to the job she's going to quit, lodging a fat woman in Devi's apartment hallway..) and only really put into play when Devi hasn't painted for a while, but it does offer Devi the possibility of getting away with whatever she wants to do. Johnny got away with mass murder in this world due to this power; it rewrote things in witnesses heads or erased it completely, healing the world around the violent oddity. This isn't going to happen in game, but it does influence Devi and should be noted.
