Hiatus & Drop
Taking a trip? Holidays eating your time? Just need to step back for a breather? Or maybe life in general or other commitments are just taking their toll and you need to make the hard decision. Here is the place to make these announcements official. Please copy and fill out the appropriate text box below into a comment to this post.
HIATUS
The duration must be a definitive timeframe and may not exceed one month in length. If longer is needed, please contact a mod. If there is an Activity Check during the hiatus, a player may request an exemption, but the duration of the hiatus must be at least two weeks in length, and the player MUST communicate with the mods before the end of the AC period to request the extension. You may not request back-to-back exemptions, regardless of any length hiatus you may take. If you are unable to meet the requirements for activity due to real-life circumstances/an emergency, you MUST communicate with the mods before the end of the Activity Check.
DROP
Fate is optional, but it can help your fellow players know how their characters might react to or handle the disappearance of yours.
NOTE: Sometimes circumstances change unexpectedly and a player might decide they didn't want to drop their character after all. We allow for a 48 hour window for a player to reverse a voluntary drop and reclaim their character without contest or consequence. After 48 hours, the drop is final and the player must app the character if they decide later they wish to pick the character back up. However, the character is also open for any other player to reserve and/or app, and these will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis just like any other character.
